As promised a bigger update on The Thingie in the Basement!
And this is our biggest preview yet of the game.

With that out of the way ^^;
What starts off as a night of a house-sitting for your kindly older neighbor down the street takes a turn into hellish territory as the forces of darkness pick that night to descend to unleash their fury on the world below. Can a man who's seen one horror movie too many survive a night of demons and debauchery with his life, soul and sanity intact?
What happens when the monster under your bed wants to play and he won't take "no" for an answer?
What if you're just as filthy and depraved as the monster in your closet?
And what if someone else's darkest nightmare is your darkest fantasy?

Thanks for posting the updates on a very fitting date, even though it's rough art, it's certainly looking good to me. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'm eagerly looking forward to this, Kupopo+Jacob Mott+plenty of Monsters/Demons and debauchery = A horror genre I'd love to see more of.

ReplyDeleteNo prob. We figured Halloween was a fitting day. And thank you for the compliments. This is a much different game than Meat Log Mountain :X We even jacked the resolution up to 800 x 600.
Not sure if we'll make another after this, we don't figure this one will sell much since it's not comedy or Meat Log Mountain. But if we move enough units and the response is strong and Kupopo is interested we'll greenlight a sequel. Mr. H already has the plot line for a sequel fleshed out.
But regardless, the final version of this game will be amazing with possibly a collector's version :3

ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome, it's pretty easy to see this is a different beast *rimshot* then MLM. It's great to hear the resolution is raised up, since as we know Kupopo can crank out a good amount of details. (Heck that last sketch is proof right there.)
Totally understood, while due to the content this is certainly a niche' game...but as with any niche' it's pretty damn sweet you guys are doing it. That and I can always appreciate those who branch out and try new things.
Collector's version? I'm intruiged on that.

ReplyDeleteThanks. It's a bit of a labor of love between Mr. H and Kupopo has they have similar tastes. It's a very cool game so far.
We haven't settled on exactly what will be in the collector's version, but it will have some extra goodies for someone that wants a physical product.

Sooooo can't wait for this game to release. I love the art so much and the genre (the demons and the story) seems so unique to me. I check back just about everyday here to look and see if we get an update as I'm trying to make sure I have the $ to reserve me a copy of this wonderful game.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind words :3 We try our best to make them actual games and not just erotica. We hope to have some new updates soon. Work is progressing at a good pace and we working with a new musician at the moment who is making some insanely amazing music for Thingie.
As to why we've been slow on updates, it really comes down to trying to keep surprises in the game. We don't want to give too much of the plot away, so we're having to hold a lot more back this time than what we normally show you guys with the Meat Log Mountain games.
We hope to have another update between Christmas and New Year's :3
Wow, this is..absolutely amazing. I would do anything to see more of these products in the future. As a demon and a kinkster AND a gaymer....this is exactly my dream porn. o_o i never thought I'd see it happen..*sniff*

ReplyDeleteThanks :3 The most we can say is if it sells well and Kupopo has the time we'll take a swipe at a sequel. I know Mr. H has a plot hashed out for a sequel, but this game with it's quality and sheer volume of art is taking us quite longer than usual ^^;
We should have an update out tomorrow night. Just waiting for final approval on what pictures to post up.
