Greetings everyone!
Gachi Muchi Kun here.
First off, Happy New Year to everyone.
Just posting some new WIP pics of The Thingie in the Basement.
We also wanted to give you some more information about the interface.
For the most part we're keeping the interface the same as we had it with Second Date with regards to magnifying glasses for examining objects and the gears for interacting with them. However the big change is that you will control all dialog that your character speaks.
The reason for that is the game stars you as the main character. Everything will be seen from a first person point of view (yes, including the sex), and you will interact with the world around you through dialog boxes as shown above. There is no 3rd person in this game like our other games. You'll even be able to name your character and play as yourself if you want.
We wanted to try something to different to bring you into the game and help immerse yourself more in the experience instead of feeling like your're watching it from the outside.
And to help that we've also added... Sound Effects! Tons of them to be exact! Doorbells rings, drawers open and close with the sound of their rollers, refrigerators hums, floors creak, things rattle, monsters slurp and suck and all sorts of good stuff. We know sound can be an important part of setting the mood for horror so we decided to really incorporate them into the game. We're pleased to say that all the sound effects we've bought are super high quality and come from the same place that major game companies buy from. So no lame, canned sound effects from a freebie site :3
We're really proud of the game so far and we're still working away hard at it.
Also, because we've had some people asking about it, our Meat Log Mountain games are still available. Everything is still for sale and you can find out more information, demos as well as purchasing instructions from "The quick index of game posts" box in the upper right corner :3
Hope everyone enjoys some more sneak peeks.
Thank you all for your support in 2011, and we look forward to bringing you more games in 2012 and ask for your support as we work hard to bring you the best in gay adventure games :3
- Team Gachi Muchi Kun
Seriously, where's the details to empty my entire bank account into? I am so looking forward to this game :D

ReplyDeleteHehe... We're a ways off from that. The feedback from beta's have been very good so far. The one upside to the drawn out production time has allowed us to go back in and refine stuff and rewrite things as we go. We've jokingly dubbed the game our version of "Jaws" if you're familiar with the process it to make that movie.
how do you get to do the beta?
ReplyDelete@Unknown
ReplyDeleteWe have a short list of people that we work with locally for our beta. It's not an open beta like an mmorpg.
I'm just happy to be getting a protagonist with pubes this time around. Dr. Cub and Durk, while insanely hawt, are a bit too smooth down south for my tastes (Kurt and Harry are my kind of fellas)

ReplyDeleteEveryone in this game is pretty hairy... And has fangs... And has claws... And I would reckon they also drool a lot as well ^^
Especially if I go by the last batch of shagging monsters pics that Kupopo showed us.
@Gachi Muchi Kun
ReplyDeleteSqeeeee! :D
@Xanandithras
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is a pretty niche game for us. But if you like monsters and horror and gay sex and muscle, well you have your game ;3
I tried back in late Oct./early Nov. to contact you about purchasing one of the games. I used the correct email address and even reached out to a few of your collaborators on FA and even your twitter. I had zero luck in getting in contact with you and it was incredibly disappointing. Do you ignore all contact or what???
ReplyDelete@Finz
ReplyDeleteIf we don't respond to an e-mail it usually involves one of the following three things:
- You got caught in our spam filter by accident
- You got added to our spam filter because your e-mail account got hijacked and started sending us constant spam. We get that a lot.
- Or problem customer and we added you to our spam filter

DeleteWell,
Delete-I've emailed you before, so I'm not sure how that could've happened
-I would have been notified by contacts if I had been sending out any spam, and I haven't
-You and I had a great back and forth email conversation before SD came out, and I've yet to buy something so no probs there.
I'm really wondering what happened here. Both Grisser and Kupopo told me they attempted to notify you about the issue, and I don't think they would be in your spam ^^
Do you need my email to check? Is there any way to get a hold of you to give you it discreetly to see what the holdup is?
@Finz
ReplyDeleteThat would be because you would fall under #3, problem customers. We were trying to be polite and subtle about it. You basically attempted to order the game twice and never completed either order, and at at the same time wanted us to cut you a deal on the price and give you the pre-order bonus after the offer had expired. As such we decided we didn't want to do business with you. So we added you to our list.
I thought the email hadn't gone through so I tried editing the address (the [at] instead of "@" threw me off, that was the reason for two messages), and had changed my mind about the order. I decided later would be a better time to get the game, hence the email a few months ago. The funds available and timing just weren't right, a few issues arose.
DeleteI thought I wanted SD, and wasn't the pre-order bonus still available for that since the game wasn't out yet?
I believe the "cutting a deal" was asking if you were offering a package deal for the two games, instead of getting them both separately. I apologize if it came off as haggling, it truly wasn't meant to be like that.
Wow, I thought we had come to terms on this, I had no idea my inquiries were way out of bounds on your terms and proceedings. So, am I permanently banned, or can I seek to make amends somehow? I meant no foul-play, and I feel as though I've been horribly misunderstood. I simply want to rectify my actions.

ReplyDeleteLove the art and can't wait till ordering process begins. Although hopefully by then will have the funds to preorder when those start. The joys of currently being unemployed due to work related injury, but oh well I'm such a fan of you guys stuff I always find a way.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait I'm as giddy as a school girl lol.
