We're still chugging along on the game, just like our friend above is still chugging along on... whatever that is. Nothing major to post about, we just wanted to show you something different for a change besides the non naughty screens, and something that wasn't a spoiler :3 We're doing our best to keep the promos from spoiling any of the game :3

Greetings everyone!

Gachi Muchi Kun here.

First off, Happy New Year to everyone.

Just posting some new WIP pics of The Thingie in the Basement.

We also wanted to give you some more information about the interface.

For the most part we're keeping the interface the same as we had it with Second Date with regards to magnifying glasses for examining objects and the gears for interacting with them. However the big change is that you will control all dialog that your character speaks.

The reason for that is the game stars you as the main character. Everything will be seen from a first person point of view (yes, including the sex), and you will interact with the world around you through dialog boxes as shown above. There is no 3rd person in this game like our other games. You'll even be able to name your character and play as yourself if you want.

We wanted to try something to different to bring you into the game and help immerse yourself more in the experience instead of feeling like your're watching it from the outside.

And to help that we've also added... Sound Effects! Tons of them to be exact! Doorbells rings, drawers open and close with the sound of their rollers, refrigerators hums, floors creak, things rattle, monsters slurp and suck and all sorts of good stuff. We know sound can be an important part of setting the mood for horror so we decided to really incorporate them into the game. We're pleased to say that all the sound effects we've bought are super high quality and come from the same place that major game companies buy from. So no lame, canned sound effects from a freebie site :3

We're really proud of the game so far and we're still working away hard at it.

Also, because we've had some people asking about it, our Meat Log Mountain games are still available. Everything is still for sale and you can find out more information, demos as well as purchasing instructions from "The quick index of game posts" box in the upper right corner :3

The Thingie in the Basement update

Hey guys, Gachi Muchi Kun here.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Everyone here has been stuck dealing with RL stuff.

We've gotten a lot of e-mails asking about updates and what's going on with The Thingie in the Basement, so we decided to post an update.

As it stands right now, Thingie in the Basement has no set release date. Optimistically, we'd love to say we'll have it ready by Halloween, but we're feeling extremely dubious about making the date. That being the case, we've decided to move the release date to "TBD". Hopefully by the end of the year it will be done, but we can't guarantee it.

Also, the final game size is looking like it will clock in around 500mb+. We're still debating shipping strategies for this game. More than likely we're going to limit it to X amount of copies sold a week.

Game itself is looking amazing. Tons of art. Kupopo has done an amazing job, our new music guy has done some amazing tracks so far, and the game is chock full of sound effects to help really pull you in and add to the realism :3 We feel it will be our best game yet in terms of presentation.

Sorry we don't have much else to say, but that's all we have to report on :3

We're also announcing our new Meat Log Mountain Web Comic to chronicles some of the adventures of Dr. Cub and the other residents of town that we don't cover in the game. The comic will be written by Mr. H and drawn by Grisser. Our first page is up with this post to help get things start on our first story arc.

We'll also be announcing our next Meat Log Mountain game and a sneak at some of the art. And we'll show some more of our next game currently in production, The Thingie in the Basement.

Retro Big Bear Hunter: This is the cover for the new issue of "Big Bear Hunter" that arrives in Second Date. This auction includes the sketch and the final pencils for the art as a set. You can see how Kupopo drew the understudy with a regular pencil and it's full of nuances vs. the final version for scanning and coloring that includes just the straight lines done with a mechanical pencil.

Just wanted to give you guys a couple shots of what our actual t-shirts look like.
Grisser has been hard at work on them. We had some problems with the white paint. Many red t-shirts gave up their lives in the battle to perfect these orz

But we finally got the mixture worked out and here are some shots of the finished products. We're pretty proud of it actually :3 And whomever ordered the XL, this baby is yours ;3

As some of you may be aware, Kupopo does not take commissions and does not normally sell his artwork. This is a rare chance to get your hands on some of his original artwork :3

This is the second batch of pics going up for auction.

This time around we have the blue pencil studies for the "Pumping It!" magazine and the rather large beast-man cranking himself out a protein shake. This picture is composed of two sheets of paper. Above the crotch on one page, crotch and under on a second sheet. We'll have an inked version of this one coming up later on too.

Next we have everyone's favorite orc medical reference guide "POUND MY HOLE!" The magazine as subtle as its title. This is in standard pencil and very lovingly rendered. Please note, there will be a felt tip pen inked version posted later as well.

Finally, we have a nice pin-up of Mr. Kytenz showing off his very large package to you. This one is drawn in pencil and inked over with a brush.

We are putting up all of Kupopo's original art from Meat Log Mountain up for auction.

Essentially everything all the magazine covers that Kupopo has done for the game are going up on auction.

There are different pieces and some pieces are in different mediums. In some cases we have two versions of the same piece, one in pencil and the other in ink. All artwork is signed and date by Kupopo.

Second Date Patch

**updated. Okay, we found out what it is. If you are having trouble updating the game and get a window of gobbledygook, you need to temporarily go under "Languages and Regional Setting" then under either the "Advanced" (XP) or "Administrative" tab (Vista/7) change the part where it says "Language for non-Unicode programs" to Japanese (Japan).

You will require a reboot. This will not affect any of your settings besides when your computer tries to run a program like our installer which is Japanese language based. Windows will still be in your native language. You can turn it back to what it was before after you're done updating the game.

Sorry about this. We know this is a bit of a headache, but it's the only way we can update your game :S If you're on a non-Windows PC and are are unable to change this setting just let us know and we can find a solution for you. Special thanks to Gryphbear for being our labrat :3 **

Hi guys.

As promised (albeit a day late) our bug patch for Second Date - Preorder copies.

Please be advised that when you run this on a Windows 7 PC that Windows' security will ask you if you want to allow the program to run. Please click "yes", though we always recommend that people virus check everything, even from us, for their own safety before running it ^^

The updater is partially in Japanese. We couldn't override it, so we'll walk you through it here. It's pretty simple :3

Pic 1 shows the screen you'll be presented with when you run the program.
Just find the directory where your Second Date files are and then click the middle button "次へ(N)"

Pic 2 is asking you to confirm you have the right directory. If you're good then click the middle button marked "インストール", if you made a mistake then click the first button marked "戻る"　to go back and choose the correct directory.

The game will update itself, depending on how fast your cpu is it could take a few minutes.

Pic 3 is what you'll see after it's done updating. Click the only button marked "閉じる" to exit. And you are all done.

It's pretty simple. We've tested it multiple times to makes sure it's compatible and you shouldn't have any issues. We do recommend you backup your copy of Second Date before you update. Just to be safe :3

Please note: This patch/update DOES NOT contain any personal or private information in it. Also it should only be used if you have a pre-order copy of Second Date. This update will eventually brick your game at some point if you don't have the pre-order version.

If for some reason your regular copy (non-preorder) of Second Date has a bug in it, please let us know so we can give you an updated version.

- Bug patch for MLM - Second Date is set to go out tomorrow. Please note this bug patch is for those who have pre-orders copies ONLY! Regular copies should be working fine. Please do not implement this bug patch if you have a non-preorder copy as it will brick your game at some point due to missing graphics that are not in your version. That and you guys already have the most recent copies of the game.

- T-shirts are still in pre-orders. We are insanely close to hitting the minimum we need. If you are interested please pre-order AND pay before next Friday the 18th :3 We need to do the pre-order minimums to ensure we have enough funds to buy all the paints and t-shirts we need to get this started. If we don't make the minimum we need we'll refund your money. Thank you very kindly to all that have pre-ordered. We greatly appreciate it.

T-shirts are 100% cotton Hanes tagless t-shirts. Hi-quality stuff. We're paying a bit more for them, but they're nice stuff. No cheap polyester or no-name brands :3

Question for our Mac users who are playing our games using emulators. How exactly do you folks configure them to run?

None of us on the team use Macs so we're unfortunately not able to offer any assistance to Mac users who are interested in our game. We know there's more than a handful of you who play our games on Macs using emulators like Wine and CrossOver to get the games to run.

Would any of you kind souls be willing to elaborate in the comment section how you get the games to run under the emulator you're using?

Status Updates

Hi guys.

Just putting up an update in case you didn't read the comments on the last blog post.

First things first, as of now Meat Log Mountain - Second Date is no longer for sale to new customers. If you paid for your copy you are fine. We are not accepting new orders until we get done with pre-orders. We can't in good faith take any more orders until we finish the ones we have. We will start sales back up once we have all the pre-orders shipped.

Everyone who has pre-ordered AND paid for their copy please continue reading.

We had to pull the game to fix a bug with the pre-order bonus outfit. Game got too big for the algorithm that was running the outfit/face routine (the full body shots you see and the faces that show up in the text box). It's nothing dire, but it's requiring our programmer to go in there and essentially make a copy of everything in the game and then go back in line by line and change all the faces and body shots to reflect the second outfits)

Programmer should have that finished tonight and then we do a round of beta-testing to make sure the right faces are on everything.

We should start sending out initial copies to the first round of customers on Monday night. If we get an all clear from them then we'll start uploading them en masse.

Which leads up to the next point. The game is very large, and is taking us currently 35 minutes to upload to our server. This is greatly restricting how fast we can get these out. So, we ask that everyone please be patient. We will update you as the week goes on where we are in the shipping process.

We will resume sales of Meat Log Mountain - Second Date once we get passed pre-orders and we can process orders in a timely fashion.

We apologize greatly for this inconvenience, and in the future we're going to look at redoing the pre-order process to prevent this from happening.

Wally Sneak Peek! (and probably our last teaser before we ship)

We're slowly making our way across the finish line D:

We're working on Wally and cleaning up stuff. We're still waiting for the music, but we should have that in the next few days. We're looking good to finish this up this week :D Yay!

Tonight we have a sneak peek at Wally's scene (it's not really a date). And as you can see, Doctor Cub is doing it old school Meat Log Mountain 1 style. But there's some secrets to this scene that we can't show you and spoil, so Chibi Cub is there to protect our plotline w

As you can no doubt tell, Wally's scene is a little different from the others and contains something new from us. And it's definitely more interactive :3

On a related note, this may be the last blog post before we finish up the game and ship it up to our first batch of select customers to play. So, if you don't see any posts from us over the next few days it's because we're just wrapping everything up :3 I'll still be checking the blog for comments and questions, and you can always e-mail us.

Also, there's still time to pre-order and get the bonus "Burly Dr. Cub outfit". We're extending pre-order until next Friday the 11th.

Our next update will be toward the end of the week once we started shipping the game out to the first batch of customers. Please be advised that we are set to wrap up this week, the only thing out of our immediate team's control is the music as we commission that from our musician. If for some reason we're going to be delayed due to the music we'll let you guys know. We may end up cutting the music, but we'd prefer to have it to make the game more complete. Shipping Updates and How We're Shipping This Time

We wanted to give you update on where we are as well as how we're handling shipping this time around due to the giant file size. TLDR is at the bottom for people wanting to skip the wall of text.

We have two things we're working/waiting on right now. We're still waiting for some last pieces of extra music we commissioned and we're having to overhaul Wally's scene.

We never meant for Wally to be as playable/interactive as the other characters, but the feedback has been the original version of his scene we made is too dull and not sexy enough :(

While we were sad to hear that, we can't argue with as many opinions as we got. So we're going to overhaul it which is going to require new graphics.

That being the case we're pushing the date back to next Friday so we can redo Wally's scene and make sure the beta-testers think it's up to snuff :3 That and we're still waiting for the last of the music ^^;

As far as the shipping itself goes, we're trying something different this time. The game currently clocks in at well over 100mb, we expect this to get even bigger after we add the new music. That being the case the game is going to take us roughly twice as long to upload as MLM 1.

What we're going to do this time is give out to a limited group of customers (some of whom we have talked to already, some we have not) their copies of the game first to play for two days. These are people who have consistently found bugs or grammar/misspellings in the past or who have Game Dev/Beta-testing backgrounds. Our reason for this is we have been crunching seriously to finish this up on schedule and while the beta-testers have been very thorough in their jobs, we'd like a few sets of fresh eyes to take a look. While they do that we're going to begin compiling and uploading the other copies. Hopefully, nothing will be found and we'll have a lot of customer's copies uploaded to give people faster access to their games. If bugs are found, we can quickly fix and then reupload people's copies without having to pull the game from many people's hands.

We know this isn't the most glamorous solution, but we feel this is the best way to avoid our nightmare scenario of uploading 60 or 70 games and people have them, and someone one finds a weird 1 in a million one-off bug and then we have to pull people's copies and bother everyone :<

Sorry about all this, we're all so green and Second Date greatly surpassed how big and how long it was going to take us. We hope though that everyone will enjoy the final product :3

On the plus side, for those of you who haven't sent in payment for your pre-orders, you have an extra week to get them. We're cutting off pre-orders on the 11th.

And for those of you looking for the TLDR: Game is delayed until next Friday while we wait for music and redo Wally's scene to make it more interesting and sexy. We'll then be sending out a dozen copies to customers first to do a final check for one-off bugs we missed. Then we'll begin sending out games.

Demonos Week Continues II

And as Saturday night winds down for a close, we decided we'd help you end it with a sneak peek from one of Demonos' path. And what's this D: Demonos isn't even naked but he's dripping his pre everywhere. Could it be... Maybe this entire interaction scene is nothing but spandex/bathing suit play O:)

We did something a little different for this one. You and Demonos sneak off to somewhere a little private, but peeking eyes are everywhere. So this time around you're going to have to make your big Puerto Rican demon fire discreetly so no one notices. I'm sure anyone that know Demonos should know this is right up his alley ^w^

Brief update as to where we stand with completion and shipping. We are going good so far, Grisser is just finishing up the last of Demonos artwork, then he will move on to finish up Wally. And we're also waiting for two extras songs to be finished.

We're feeling 50/50 we'll hit Friday. It may run into the following week as we finish up the last artwork and we do final beta-testing. But thankfully there's nothing major or huge delays, we're just getting the last of it done :3

We're looking at doing something different with regards to shipping this time. Second Date is over twice the filesize of MLM 1, and we're still waiting for more music and art which will push the file size up even more :-/ As we finish wrapping it up we'll let you know how we'll commence shipping this time.

Delayed Game is Delayed m-_-m

Hey guys.

Gachi Muchi Kun here.

Unfortunately, with bad news orz

We're having to push the game out to the first week of February.

First off, we GREATLY apologize for this delay. We did not expect that the game would get pushed out again. The main reason for the delay is Grisser is slogging through all the art and hustling to get it finished. The game from a coding standpoint is mostly done. We still have a lot of art assets that are either uncolored or need to be inked and colored.

In fairness to Grisser he's been working non-stop 7 days a week/10 hours a day on this art. The reality is, and as you have seen from the most recent demo, there is a ton of items, characters, locations and other goodies in the game. Some of these new items and features we're only added in the past few weeks. All of these things requires art. As most of you know, Grisser is our sole artist on this game, and we do not have the ability to farm out work to other people to help lift some of the burden off of him.

We're also going to try something new with regards to deliver this time around. We're going to start uploading more copies of games before we send out shipping e-mails to everyone. We know with our past two releases we've announced the game is done, we'll start shipping it, and then everyone waits. Our hope this time around is to have 40 – 50% of the pre-orders uploaded before we start sending out e-mails so people can get to the game faster. As you may have noticed “huge game is huge”. The amount of time it's going to take us to compile and upload each copy is clocking in around 25 minutes to 30 minutes depending on our server connection.

Again, we greatly apologize for the delay. Moving forward, if we do a third game we're going to change how we handle pre-orders to avoid massive delays like this one.

New Interface and New Game Mechanics

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays, and for those of you on the East Coast and the Midwest of America I hope you're staying warm with blizzard ^^

We're hard at work on the game, and we hope to have a new demo out either Friday or Saturday. Before we release our new demo, we want to explain to you some of the new features and controls of the game.

Our text menu interface has been changed to a new interface as show in "interface1" picture. All interactive objects now have an icon associated with them. The magnifying glass is for examining objects, and the gear item is for interacting/using an item.

So in the picture attached, clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the phone will let you examine the phone. The gear item will let you use the phone (in this case call someone).

There are more objects to interact with now (not all of which are usable in the demo)

As "interface2" demonstrates, there are two new items under your inventory. One is the wallet icon so you can check your cash status. The second is the GachaPon icon. It will take you to a separate inventory screen where you can see your gachapon collection.

There are new items as well. Take a look at "interface3" and you'll see what a normal screen looks like. Now after drinking one of Mr. Cooper's imported Japanese energy drinks (it will be explained in the game), you gain the ability to see hidden GachaPon capsules (interface4 picture) :3

For those of you trying to commit those capsule locations to memory, don't bother. You can only access those hidden capsules if you drink the right energy drink :3

"Interface5" shows the new "shopping" screen. You'll be able to buy items for your date (or just hanging around between dates). All items will have prices marked for your convenience :3

And the last thing we'll show off for now is "Interface6" which shows our new supply closet system. You can now store items like PIG Lube here in the supply closet, so no needing to run over to the Feed 'em and Breed 'em during a date to get yourself lube :3

That should do it for the general new interface questions/improvements. We hope to add more time permitting. Thanks to everyone who has e-mailed us with their support to take the extra time if we need it to add in the the new items. We appreciate everyone's support and are excited that everyone is eager to see the new improvements we're making :3

First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone :3

A little Christmas card from the team, and a little sneak peek from Durk's interactive love scene.

Tonight's post I decided to go into details about some of the changes we've been hard at work on in the game.

As I talk about the other day, we have added a new money system within the game. The way you make money is through selling your Meat Dudes gachapon figures. Meat Dudes is the adult collectible figures made by the PIG Lube corporation as part of a summer promotion. They've become quite popular around town, and a secondary market has open up with buying and sell of Meat Dudes.

Now there's a few ways to get Meat Dudes. One is by buying them from the gachcapon machines around town. There's one at the General Store, one at the Feed 'em and Breed 'em Supply Store, another at the Museum and a final one in the Onsen. Yes, that is correct. We've moved Wally into his own store in town, so a new location has opened up on the town map :3

The other way is to find them around town. The men of the town can be a clumsy bunch, and they sometimes drop them or accidentally put them down and not pick them back up. Be on the look out! Click around the screen and see if you can find where they're hidden.

Now that got that money, what do you do with it? Buy things, of course :3 And we've given you ways to spend that money. You'll need money to buy items for you date. That picnic lunch for Harry; it's going to cost you now. That bottle of PIG Lube; same deal.

But to make it worthwhile to you, we've also introduce a new inventory system that carries over to the “lovemaking” scenes. You can now open your inventory and pull out that jug of PIG Lube. That cock ring you bought; slap it on your date. The KC Canal you made; who said you could only use it on Harry :3

Now you'll be able to add some spice to your love life.

There's also other stuff to buy when you're not on a date. Food and drinks at the general store, even tickets for the Orkules exhibit. And speaking of drinks, Mr. Cooper has some special imported sodas you can buy and drink. Rumor has it they may have side effects :X

We're hoping to add more items and other cool add-ons, plus a Flea Market area where you can find the best prices to sell you're gachapon at. It's really going to depend on how much extra time we have after we finish the main game ^^; If there's enough of an outcry and interest from you guys to take another week or so to add more content we might do it. For right now though we're working on finishing the game :3

The gachapon collectible adult figure craze that's swept through Meat Log Mountain!

The battle action porcine warriors from planet Piglubica 69. They've come to do battle on planet Earth!

All the men in the town are collecting, trading them and SELLING them for cash! And Dr. Cub, thrifty man of medicine that he is, is getting in on the action too :3

5 Meat Dudes characters, each one with 3 different rarity levels: Pink, Silver and Gold. We're only showing one so we don't spoil them for you when you play the game ^^;

There's gachapon machines around time at the General Store, the Museum and the Onsen. Each one with different themes of the 5 characters. You can also find them laying around town from careless townsfolk who've dropped them.

Now you may be thinking: "Gee Gachi Muchi Kun, that's nice and all... But what can I do with them?"

SELL 'EM FOR CASH!

And you're going to need that cash now, because now buying things cost money at the General Store and from Wally. But don't worry, because Mr. Cooper is paying top dollar for your Meat Dudes figures.

You may also be wondering how you're going to have time to do all this while you're getting ready for your date? Well, we've opened up the town for when you're not dating. Going exploring by the Meat Log Mountain River, search the museum or take a wander through the exhibits. We're opening up more of the town for the players so you can wander around and have more fun.

We also plan (time permitting) to add more fun collectible items that you can buy and use outside of dating. Just for fun and stuff :3

The Good News and The Bad News...

I unfortunately have good news and bad news to bring to you.
Bad news first.
Unfortunately due to circumstances outside of our control we're having to push back Meat Log Mountain - Second Date to January 14th. As most of you may know, our artist Grisser came down with the flu for over week back around Thanksgiving. And on top of that with the Holiday season our entire team has basically been screwed for time :( We're still waiting for other art and music assets, and some of our team is out Christmas/New Year's week.

That being the case we're pushing the release back to January 14th so we can make sure everything is polished before we ship it out.

Now the good news.
In order to make it up for those of you that have pre-ordered and paid for it. We are doing a pre-order bonus. Doctor Cub will now have a pre-order only bonus "lumberjack" outfit, and a pre-order bonus "speedo" for one of his dates. You'll be able to switch outfits in your office at anytime.

If you have already pre-ordered and paid for Meat Log Mountain - Second Date, you will receive the pre-order bonus. You do not need to do anything. If you haven't ordered or paid for your copy yet and would would like to receive the bonus outfits, you need to place AND pay for your order before January 14th.

We're also going to take the extra time to replace the text menu with more user friendly point and click interface. The included screenshot shows you the new "move" action we're implementing. So no more hitting the wrong room in the Hallway anymore :3

We're sorry for having to delay the game. We did not budget on our artist getting the flu for a week and causing production to grind to a halt.

The Conquests of Orkules!

We ended up scrapping Durk's original date and made a better one.

We hope no one really wanted to see the Le Grand Coq w
You'll now be going to the Meat Log Mountain Museum of Ancient Greco-Roman Art.
Which is conveniently is located where the Le Grand Coq used to be.

The museum is having a huge exhibit on the Conquests of Orkules. Orkules is the half mortal, half god son of Zorceus, the father of all Greek orc gods.

This lovely display features the Orkules vs. the Bubble Butted Boarmen of Brauron.

We think this is much nicer than sitting across a dinner table ^_^

The museum will feature all five of Orkules' manly challenges of manhood! You better bone up on Orkules beforehand. We hear Durk is quite well versed in ancient Greek orcish mythology :3

We're putting up our new demo of Meat Log Mountain - Second Date.

We made some changes to how the Dating interface is handled.

- There's a new heart based systems that measures your progress (good and bad) as you go along. You need to get 5 full hearts in order to progress.

- There's more dialog and it unfolds based on your other conversations. You'll need to take advantage of how happy your date is to judge when to give him gifts and when to flirt with him.

- Conversations choices are mapped out to "topic" buttons.

- The town overview now has a new Map that's point and click. Please not the map is simplified and not to any scale.

- All the items in this demo are finished. We still need to put some finishing touches on Harry.

We've been tinkering with the Date interface to make it better.

We wanted to give you a sneak peek at the redesign.
We think it looks better, and up in the corner is the Date-O-Meter. So you can better track the date.

We're also adding new conversation topics. Some of which you can see. Conversation topics will open and close depending on your conversations. We're hoping it's not text overload (ノД`)・゜・

We're curious to know people's opinions on how much talk is too much talk, or if you're hungry to know more about each guy and the town/mythology of the world.

We'll keep updating as we go along. We hope to have a new demo out in a week or so that better reflects the final game :3

Meat Log Mountain - Second Date demo is up and ready!

You can find it here:

*note, this is an update, fixes a lock up during sex and some text glitches.

A few things we want to make sure everyone knows about this demo:

- You can only interact with Harry.

- In this game you can "die", in final game you don't die but the current date ends and you start off a new day.

- Gameplay is divided into two parts. Free Roam which happens before you go on the date. And Date Mode where you will have to make it to your date on time. A clock on the screen will let you know what time it is. You need to make it to your date within a reasonable time frame :3 Date Mode starts as soon as you call someone up to set up a date.

- Some graphics are still in b&w or line art form.

- In the demo you can only "bottom" for Harry.

- For this version of the demo, it ends when the interactive scene ends with Harry. We may/probably release a more polished demo in a week or so that has the story sex scenes added in for the top mode.

That's about it for the demo. With us posting this demo, it also means that pre-orders are open!

Our target ship date is December 17th. We're pushing the date out a little further so we can tinker and add stuff in at the end of the development cycle, or we may send them out beforehand if we get it finished before that. But we want to be conservative with the release date. It's basically our "worst case scenario" shipping date.

Posting the FAQ on our newest game, Meat Log Mountain - Second Date (MLM - SD)

Q: What is MLM - SD?
A: MLM - SD is a continuation of the first game, MLM. Following up on the events of MLM as we find Dr. Cub at home in his new town and new office. You'll be able to go on a second date with all the guys from the first game, and see some of the sights of the town.

Q: What makes this game different from MLM?
A: Whereas MLM was more of an adventure game, MLM - SD is more of a dating simulator. You will be graded on your date and the outcome of that date will depend on how well you do. You'll have to prepare for your date, pick things your date likes and behave well on your date. Picking the wrong food, bringing the wrong flowers, etc. will all have an effect on your date ranking and what happens on your date.

Q: So you're saying there's no adventure elements to this game?
A: No, you'll still have to search around the medical office, build things and look for hints. If you enjoyed that part of MLM it's still there :3

Q: Do I have to do play through all the characters in a specific order? Harry's nice and all, but I'd like to go on a date with Demonos first.
A: Nope, you can date whomever you want in any order. Each date is independent of the other dates. So if you're a Durk fan, you can date him first. You will have to go on a date with everyone though.

Q: I liked the first characters and all, but is there anyone new? And anyone more "human"?
A: Yes, we're introducing a new character: Wally the sales rep from the Feed 'em and Breed 'em Livestock Suppy Company. He's a dwarf. You'll be buying supplies from him just like Ol' Doc Brown did. And yes, you'll be able to play with him too :3

Q: How's the love scenes with the guys? Last game everyone had different means of interactions.
A: We've standardized everything down to scene similiar to Durk's from MLM. You'll have a top-o-meter and a sub-o-meter in order to see which way they'll turn out. Response was that that form of interaction was the one that people enjoyed the most.

Q: So everyone will top and bottom this time?
A: Exactly.

Q: What's the interface on this game? Like MLM 1 or MLM 2?
A: The interface on this one is like MLM 1.

Q: Do I need to have played MLM 1 in order to enjoy and understand this game?
A: Yes. This is a dating simulator for a second date. You're going to strike out pretty bad if you haven't played MLM 1 and know a bit about these guys. Plus the story will reference stuff that you won't know about. For instance, the majority of people who have played MLM will understand what's cool/interesting about Wally's job. The rest of you it won't really make much sense.

Q: Okay, I'm interested. How much is this going to cost me?
A: 15 dollars USD. Same price as the first game.

Q: Will there be a demo?
A: Yes, we hope to have a demo ready by Wednesday the 10th. The demo will focus on part of your date with Harry.

Q: What do I need to play it?
A: All our games run on Windows XP and up. We cannot guarantee that our games will run on Linux/Unix or Mac systems. However we've had multiple people confirm they can play our games under Wine and other Windows emulators.

Q: When do pre-orders open and when does the game ship?
A: Pre-orders will open when the demo is put on here, current shipping date is December 10th, 2010.

Q: This is all fine and good, but if I play this game will I finally learn why there are no women in this !@#@! town?
A: Yes, scoring the best of rank on one of the characters will give you the explanation as to why there are no women in the town and what "the incident" was.

Gachi Muchi Kun here with a special announcement.

We're announcing our new game, Meat Log Mountain - Second Date.

This is a game that lives between Meat Log Mountain 1, and Meat Log Mountain 2 which will not be shipping until early 2011.

The team got together and decided that there is a need for a game to bridge our first game and our upcoming game. We've also listened to our fans about Harry and Demonos. While Durk is the runaway favorite boyfriend for Dr. Cub, a lot of you want to have one last spin with Demonos and Harry. This will give you more backstory on everyone, and get you up to speed on how Dr. Cub is doing as he settles into the town.

With that in mind we've created Meat Log Mountain - Second Date.

What is it? It follows back up with Dr. Cub a few weeks after his first day in Meat Log Mountain. Now you can go on a proper date with Harry, Durk and Demonos outside the Meat Log Mountain Medical Center. Go on a picnic, a fancy dinner or a relaxing trip to the onsen. Find the perfect gift to impress your date.

And you'll have a chance to meet Wally the dwarf. A new character and a new race for the game :3

We're also going to use the game to establish how and why you end up with Durk.

All characters will have the same interaction system that Durk had in the first game, and there will be multiple paths for each date :3

We should have a demo up by Sunday night/Monday, and also open pre-orders. Game is scheduled to ship at the end of the month.

Just a quick look at our new point n' click interface for Meat Log Mountain 2.

As you can see it's pretty easy.
Just click on the icon the right for the type of action you want to perform.
Then, just click on the object you want to perform the action on.

The third pic shows the overhaul we've done of the inventory, so now you can check inventory no matter what location you're at.

Simple stuff, but a big improvement from Meat Log Mountain 1 \(^o^)/

Everyone at Team Gachi Muchi Kun is hard at work down the final stretch before we release Oni's Dice.

We've tinkered and made some changes based on user feedback. There is a now a "short game" mode that lets you play to 50 points instead of a 100 points for shorter games.

Here we can see Durk wearing his casual outfit. Shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops. Poor Durk, no matter what he wear it seems that big orc cock can't be concealed easily <3

Oni's Dice Demo

Today we are bringing you a small demo of our new game, Oni's Dice.
This is just a small taste of the full game. You'll be able to get Durk out of some of his pesky clothes if you're skilled enough.

Please be advised that we are still polishing up graphics, and not all the graphics in this demo are final graphics. Also a lot of features have been disabled including the amount of dialog that Doctor Cub and Durk speak, and the types of cards you're given are smaller than what's in the final game.

Speaking of cards! I'll give you a quick rundown of the 4 cards included with this demo.

The first two cards you playing during your second and third round of the game.
They are the "Drunken Dwarf" and the "Horny Orc" card.
They both modify your roll that turn. Drunken Dwarf gives you plus one to your roll, and the Horny Orc gives you plus two.

The final two cards can be played during the Oni die round.
They are "Spear of Meatorion" and "Oni's Taiko" card.
Spear of Meatorion will take your opponent down one level on his Oni die roll, and Oni's Taiko will let you re-roll your Oni die. Both are very helpful cards.

This installment of Meat Log Mountain History and Folklore we talk about a popular game in Meat Log Mountain:

Oni's Dice

A popular dice and card game played in Meat Log Mountain is called Oni's Dice. It's been played for decades in the small town. Legend goes that the original game was brought to Meat Log Mountain back in the beginning of the 1900's by Onimizu, the proprietor of the Meat Log Mountain Onsen. Legend has it that the game was invented back at his family's onsen in Onijima. The game quickly spread in popularity throughout the town, starting with the onsen and quickly spreading to the local bar. Why it was said that lumberjacks were playing it in their bunkhouses even.

It became a common sight to see the men of the village rolling dice and playing their Horny Orc cards with vigor. More than a few fights and grudges broke out over games of Oni's Dice. Even so, the popularity of the game could not be contain, and it was quite the local phenomenon. It's still played today at the local bar and restaurant, or wherever you find big, burly males gathered.

Though they say Onimizu himself was the greatest Oni's Dice player of them all. He would love staying up late into the night at his onsen playing Oni's Dice with tourists. The local men cheering on their beloved Onimizu as he took many a city slicker and tourist for a ride, and strip them bare of clothes and pride. Legend has it that Onimizu never lost a single game of Oni's Dice ever. His perfect record still holds to this day.

Oni's Dice is played with 4 dices and a small pack of cards between two players. Three of the dice are standard six-sided dice. The fourth die is called the Oni die. It is four-sided and contains a picture on each side. The four sides are as follows: Dwarf, Orc, Beast-Man and Oni. Each creature represented a multiplier.

The basic rules are quite simple, and have helped to spread the popularity in Meat Log Mountain. The game is played as such. The first player rolls a six-sided die followed by the opposing player. This continues with each player adding up their score for all 3 of their turns.
Upon completion of each player's 3 rolls the Oni die round begins. Whatever the individual score is up until that point is then multiplied by the player's Oni die roll.
The multiplier goes as follows:

Dwarf = 1x
Orc = 2x
Beast-Man = 3x
Oni = 4x

For example:

Let's say player one has rolled a 3, 4 and 2 in his first three rolls for a total of 9 points. He then rolls the Oni die and rolls an Orc. His 9 becomes 18 points.

The Oni die roll is the most important turn in the game and players take turns being the first one to roll the Oni die. You can change the fate of the game quite quickly depending on whether you roll a Dwarf or an Oni. But be aware even a good roll of the Oni die can not save your hand if you've rolled badly up until that point.

But that is not all there is to the game. There are two sets of cards that are played during the game. One set affects the regular dice rolls, and the other set affects the Oni's die roll.

For instance, the "Drunken Dwarf" card will give you +1 to your next dice roll. While a "Spear of Meatorion" card will allow you to take your opponent down one roll on his Oni die roll. So his roll of the Oni would become the Beast-Man and his multiplier would go down from 4x to 3x.

These cards allows the players to change the course of a game quite quickly, and help to add to the fun and competitive atmosphere of playing Oni's Dice. Just remember, each time you use a card, it goes to your opponents deck and vice versa.

Now you may be thinking, "Say, Gachi Muchi Kun, that's all fine and dandy, but how does a fella win Oni's Dice?" Simple! You win the game win your opponent is naked.

Oni's Dice is meant to be a bit naughty like an oni. And since there are no women in Meat Log Mountain, the men have taken to playing the game for bragging rights at the bar or the bunkhouse. Just think how right embarrassed a lumberjack would be sitting naked in front of all his friends at the bar or bunkhouse as they gather around his naked body. No clothes to cover him up and everyone staring at him. Quite embarrassing I'd say.

Now most people size up their opponent not only by their Oni's Dice playing skills, but also the amount of clothes they're wearing. Why some varmints even intentionally wear extra clothes in order to make it harder to lose.

You may notice that this installment of Meat Log Mountain History and Folklore doesn't have drawings, but screenshots of Dr. Cub and Durk playing Oni's Dice. That leads us to our next topic...

Pre-orders open up tonight, and the game will ship in two weeks on Friday, the 24th of September with pre-orders going out first. We may finish before, but we want to give ourselves some extra time to do extra polish and testing if need be. In the event we do finish before Friday the 24th we will ship beforehand.

Meat Log Mountain History and Folklore: Meat Log Mountain Onsen

Gachi Muchi Kun here. I'm back with another installment of History and Folklore of Meat Log Mountain.

Today we're going to focus on a part of the town you may have noticed from the intro if you played Meat Log Mountain 1. I'm talking about Meat Log Mountain onsen.

Tuck away north of the main part of town is the famous Meat Log Mountain onsen. It was created back around the turn of the last century by an adventurous demon from Japan named Onimizu.

You see, besides the massive trees that grow on Meat Log Mountain there are other natural resources the area has been blessed with. One of them is one of the richest sources of mineral laden water in the country. You see many centuries ago there was a lot of volcanic activity around the area that is Meat Log Mountain. This contributed to the mineral rich soil found there today. That along with the Mountain Goddess that protects Meat Log Mountain lands. This ancient volcanic activity formed vast pocket of mineral rich water under the ground and eventually started to bubble up.

Back at the beginning of the 1900's the water started to bubble up from the ground. Word began to spread about the hot springs all across the country. Which was quite fortunate for a young oni that had just landed on the shores of America from Japan.

Onimizu had just arrived in America from the island of Onijima from the south of Japan. He was in his mid 20's, quite young for a Japanese demon. He had set out from his home in order to prove himself like most young men of those days. The Meiji era was in full swing, and Japan had opened itself back up to the world. Young Onimizu was ready to try his luck and fortune in the brave new world that was America. Onimizu arrived in San Francisco by boat from Yokohama. He wandered aimlessly into Japantown and found the enclave of Japanese immigrants welcoming. He tried his hand at odds and ends, but could never seem to find the right fit. It didn't help that he was quite short. While most demons are quite imposing, Onimizu was quite short. He only stood about 5'5, and was often the brunt of jokes back in Onijima. It never stopped him, and if anything made him fight harder to get his piece of the pie.

It wasn't log before he started to hear tales about Meat Log Mountain. Many young men were heading North to try their luck, but what really caught the young oni's attention was the news about the bubbling hot springs that were found North of the small town. For you see, Onimizu was no stranger to hot springs. His family had run the biggest onsen on the entire island of Onijima. Onijima was quite famous for the quantity of its hot spring sources, and the Onimizu clan was quite famous for the quality of its onsen.

Onimizu headed North by train. A young demon full of hopes and dreams and a pocket of money. He arrived in Meat Log Mountain that Spring. The oni was quite taken aback by the quality of the hot spring source he found, and with a clap of his hands and a might cry of "Yoshi!" he purchased the plot of land. Work was long, hard and thankless as he built the onsen. He wrote to his family back in Japan and they agreed to send him money and lumber from the island. Onimizu worked and tended the area, and slowly his onsen took shape. After almost 2 years of hard work the onsen finally opened.

Then men of the town were quite excited by the new onsen. Unfortunately for Onimizu, most of them had never been to an onsen before and their brutish ways irked his sensibilities. But he slowly learned to take it in stride as his onsen became the hit of the town. Men would come in after work and on the weekends to bathe and then sit in the hot spring pools for hours, soaking and chatting with their friends. Onimizu always grinning and doing his best to be of service as the thick, burly men would roughhouse around. Watching as their massive, naked, muscular bodies would splash around and smack against each other.

Onimizu enjoyed his new found fortune, and enjoyed being one of the centerpieces of the town of Meat Log Mountain. As the 1900's roared on, the world went to war. As an oni, a demon of Japanese descent, he caught got up in the hysteria of the world. He was interned with other Japanese immigrants in internment camp. Not much is known about what happened to Onimizu during that time. Some say he met a beautiful Japanese woman there, and feel in love. Since he was an oni, and she a human, her parents who were also interned there strongly disapproved. When he was released after the war he returned back to his home in Meat Log Mountain. Unfortunately the onsen was in great disrepair.

Onimizu knew what it meant to work hard and under adversity. He clapped his thick, calloused hands and let out a might cry of "Yoshi", and started to fix up the onsen. It was much smaller than before, and some say the newer onsen reflected his feelings from being interned. Slowly the men came back, but not like they did before. As the 1960's and 70's saw the rise of Post-War Japan, and a stream of new Japanese tourists that came to visit America. Onimizu was able to capitalize on this, and many tourists came to visit his onsen. He enjoyed the chance once more to speak his mother tongue and pour a glass of sake or his family's own store of awamori and drink with his countrymen.

But yet again, fortune was not to favor him. One night while cleaning up the locker room he overheard a conversation from the onsen pool. Two older Japanese tourists were discussing Onimizu. Going on about sorry they felt for him, how Americanized he had become. How his onsen paled in comparison to his family's onsen back in Onijima. The two businessmen laughed at his poor fate as Onimizu felt tears stream down his face as he nearly broke the mop he clutched in his hands. He knew he could never go back to Japan and Onijima. He was a failure. And the words of his countrymen hit him like a blow to the chest.

Shortly thereafter Onimizu became more bitter and surly. He found himself in limbo, too American to ever be considered Japanese by his own people, but still not quite an American. He tended to his onsen as Meat Log Mountain became a trendy men's only tourist spot in the late 1970's.

The 1980's found Onimizu chugging away with a heavy heart. He was close to a 100 years old, but still not that old for his kind. The tourists were getting fewer and farther between, most of them lured by the new resort that had been built by an industrial conglomerate. Onimizu persevered on until the end of the 1980's when the same industrial conglomerate bought most of the town for tourist development. Onimizu lost his onsen, and it seemed without his onsen he could persevere no longer. It was said he died by the beginning of the 1990's, still in his demonic middle age. The loss of his onsen was too much to bare.

The irony was that in the middle of the 90's, the company that owned most of the town went bankrupt and sold it to a lumber company that formed the Meat Log Mountain we know and love today. A new more open and modern onsen was built with a large outdoor bathing area and pool that forms the shape of an upside down 'U'. That's the same one you see on your map when you start up Meat Log Mountain.

The drawing today depicts Onimizu standing in front of Meat Log Mountain Onsen not long after its grand opening. And another picture from its prime when it was full of burly, rowdy patrons with a happy Onimizu to serve them.

History and Folklore of Meat Log Mountain: Meatorion, God of Meat Log Mountain river

We hope everyone has been enjoying their Summer. Everyone here at Team Gachi Muchi Kun has been hard at work with not much time off (ノД`)
We hope to have some great news to share with you soon!

We've received a lot of e-mails from people who are curious about the world of Meat Log Mountain, and its history. We've decided to start a series of posts delving into the world of Meat Log Mountain, and its history and culture.

First off, we want to start by discussing some of the folklore and mythology of the area. Legend has it that there are two main deities of Meat Log Mountain. We'll start off by discussing one of them: Meatorion.

Meatorion is the mighty river god of Meat Log Mountain river. He protects the mighty river that flows from Meat Log Mountain and into the town below. Meatorion has been worshipped for many centuries, and even to this day people give thanks to Meatorion for protection and bountiful river harvests.

Meatorion usually appears in the guise of a massive male with a flowing white beard and long hair. His legs are composed of fine scales, and on his ankles are fins .

One of Meatorion's most prominent attributes is his mighty "Spear of Meatorion". Meatorion is never seen without his mighty spear, and all art of him always represents his mighty spear ready to thrust at anyone who has come across his path.

Meatorion is represented by the mighty slippery big head eel that lives in Meat Log Mountain river. Their powerful, long bodies and their massive wide heads are easy to spot in Meat Log Mountain river. The men of Meat Log Mountain have spread legend for centuries that the slippery big head eel foretells the coming of the mighty Meatorion. Many a manly fisherman has been in the river, only to feel a rush of long, shiny black eels rubbing against them, and then they find themselves face to face with the manly spear of the mighty Meatorion.

But Meatorion is not a malevolent god. Meatorion cares deeply for the fishermen that depend on his river. He protects them during floods, and is said to protect the fishermen of Meat Log Mountain when they set out on his river to fish. Because Meatorion is the god of the fish harvests, he has become a fertility god as well. His mighty spear a symbol of his potency, it is said that all who wrestle with the mighty Meatorion and are touched by his mighty spear are said to become quite strong and potent. If you are pierced by his mighty, manly spear it is said you will become extremely potent, and one of Meatorion's chosen ones.

In the late 1800's, the men of Meat Log Mountain got together and built a wondrous fountain in the middle of Meat Log Mountain town square to commemorate the mighty Meatorion and celebrate his splendor. The fountain still stands to this day in Meat Log Mountain town square.

The picture attached shows a picture of the Meatorion fountain that exists in Meat Log Mountain town square, and shows the battle between the mighty Meatorion and Harnzerg the orc. Their fight was a mighty battle whose legend is still told to this day. Harnzerg had issued a challenge to Meatorion right on the banks of his river. Challenging Meatorion to a competition of strength. If Harnzerg won, then Meatorion would would bring upon the river it's most bountiful harvest of fish and eels that it had ever had. If Meatorion won, then Harnzerg would be his slave, standing naked by Meatorion's feet and ready to serve Meatorion in any way the God desired to make him happy.

Meatorion heeded Harnzerg's call and rose up from the river as Harnzerg stood on a cliff overlooking the river. Meatorion brandishing his mighty spear he lunged at Harnzerg and the two engaged in battle. Their musclebound bodies, covered in sweat, thrusted and grinded against each other. God and man battling for dominance as neither one would submit to the other. But Harnzerg got it in the end. He was no match for Meatorion's mighty, manly spear. As Meatorion thrusted and his spear entered the orcish warrior, he saw what he had done. The orc had fought bravely, and now he lay on the ground with Meatorion's spear buried inside him. The orc's life essence pooling onto the ground below the orc as Meatorion took in the sight before him. Meatorion pulled his mighty spear out, and held the orc close to him. Harnzerg was tired, and his body spent from battle. The mighty Meatorion felt something well up inside him. A single tear ran down his chiseled face. Meatorion realized that Harnzerg was a honorable orc and warrior. And even after he was penetrated by Meatorion's spear, he refused to submit, and tried to dominate Meatorion.

Meatorion realized that such an orc would make a wonderful companion for him. And with that, Meatorion let out a mighty bellow and covered Harnzerg in his powerful, potent essence. The orc was bathed in it, it was more than any mortal could ever take, but Harnzerg found himself transformed into a demigod. He was forever to be at Meatorion's side as Meatorion's constant companion. Harnzerg was granted the honor of being the only other person to handle Meatorion's mighty spear. Harnzerg took great pride in the task. He learned all he could about Meatorion's spear, and how to handle it. He stands forever at Meatorion's side, always ready and eager to serve the mighty Meatorion.

And that is just one of the legends of Meatorion, the god of Meat Log Mountain river.

Meatorion is one of the many gods and legends that are part of the culture and world of Meat Log Mountain.
